Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Get out your seat and swing those feet as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Malden High School Courtyard. Listen to Latin beats under the stars with community, friends and family while enjoying a taste of the Caribbean. We will have Jenna and Luis teach us the sultry basics of Bachata while Leah and Gabe will spice us up with Salsa instructions!!! 

We will have dance performances galore and even a LIVE BAND! There will be food trucks selling authentic Caribbean cuisine and drinks - so make sure to bring some cash! 

Furthermore, we will have artisans and vendors bringing you a flavor of our community. You aren't going to want to miss this Family friendly event!!! It all goes down at Malden High School (77 Salem Street, Malden, MA).

The North Shore Hispanic Association, Inc. (NSHA) is pleased to announce its second annual fundraising event recognizing Outstanding Hispanic Americans on Thursday, February 21, 2019, 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Malden Senior Center,

7 Washington Street, Malden, MA.


The NSHA will honor Yolanda Waldman, Malden Housing Authority; Maria Rosa, Consultant and Jesus Montoya, Malden Police Department; individuals who have paved the way for others in their community through cultural, social or economic contributions to the North Shore’s growingHispanic community.  The keynote speaker is Phyllis Barajas, the founder and chief executive officer of Conexión a program that focuses on developing Hispanic/Latino leaders.

Our Volunteer Team Will Be at the FOOGI Haunt Jaunt 

Members of the North Shore Hispanic Association will be volunteering in support of the FOOGI Haunt Jaunt in Malden, MA  on Sunday, October 22, 2017. The road race starts at the Malden YMCA. The North Shore Hispanic Association, Inc. (NSHA) recently held its second annual Hispanic Heritage Month Festival at the Malden High School Courtyard. The Festival kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month and featured the rich Latino culture through traditional music, dance, and authentic foods. Mayor Gary Christenson and local elected officials attended the celebration along with Malden and area residents. Celebrated were the important cultural, social, and economic contributions of the North Shore’s growing Hispanic community.

The NSHA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen a thriving Hispanic community in the North Shore area through cultural awareness, educational activities and community involvement.

The North Shore Hispanic Association would like to take this opportunity to thank our Mayor Gary Christenson, for always supporting our diverse community and celebrating our second Hispanic Festival. We also want to thank our sponsors for supporting our successful event.
